Wow, it has been a while since I was on here... I just thought I'd just say a brief "hi" to my Internet Life again. :)

Vacation was really a lot of fun--more fun than I thought it was going to be. I love vacations, of course, but there were two reasons I was kind of dreading going to Arizona. First of all, I usually have a ton of trouble sitting still in the car for so many hours. Its not that I get restless so much (although that happens sometimes too, when I've had too much coffee), but my back problems always seem ten times amplified when all I can do is SIT. :P Although I wasn't miraculously cured or anything, and my back and neck still hurt, I really felt blessed by God, and more relaxed than I usually am. I even slept well in several very noisy hotels. :)

Another reason I (and I think everyone else, too) was kind of dreading going, was that this was the first time we had been down there since Grandpa died (the reason we go to AZ anually is to visit him). My Grandma died when I was quite young, and Grandpa re-married ten years ago--so our step-Grandma feels every bit like family. Still, I think we were all kind of nervous it was just going to be...akward. But it was terrific. We really got to have some wonderful quality time with Grandma, especially us girls (Emily, me, Mom, and Grandma), while the guys did some handy-man repairs around the house.

So, yes, it was fun. :D The most annoying thing was that I got a cold in the middle of it, and have since picked up yet another cold...which would be part of the reason for my absense on here. I try to keep that charming head-cold-activiated side of my personally to myself. *g*

Oh! But I have some exciting news I just have to share. I'm finally getting the tree-fort of my dreams! *clears throat* Erm, we're actually calling it a tree-studio. ;) So what if we're 18 and 20? Emily and I have ALWAYS wanted some kind of tree-house, so when the boys offered to build us one we jumped on the idea. So now we're going to have our very own elvish "flet" built in the nearest Mallorn tree (heh, I wish). We found the loveliest location: a gigantic oak tree overlooking a little valley with a stream, located not far from our house. It's going to be SO conducive to writing. *bg* Knowing the boys and their perfectinism, it's going to be really nice, too. I'm so excited! :)

Well, I'm off to read about the Aztec and Mayan civilizations, work on my next HTML lesson, and hopefully find some time to write (I am on such a spree right now, I can hardly put my "pen" away at night).

Yay, you're back! I'm glad you had a good time on your trip, mellon-nin.

Eee, a tree fort!! Oh, I wanted one of those so badly when I was younger...Abi and I drew up so many plans, but my dad just never had the time. LOL, and I don't think 18 and 20 is too old either; man, that's going to be the best writing spot ever. You'll have to send me some pictures of it once you get it finished. :D

I'll definitely have to take some pictures. ;) But, you know, you're always welcome to come see it in person, mellon-nin...and stay as long as you want. *bg*

Ee, hee, hee, I wouldn't object to that. ;D But agh, really, I am aching to see you guys again.... If our whole family can't make the trip sometime soon, I guess I'll have to fly up there by myself or something; I'm starting to get desperate! *pines for Nef and Cami* ;)

Heh, yes, the "flet" is going to be tons of fun. (And you know you're just as welcome as Polly. *bg*)

*huggles back* It always feels particularly wonderful to get back after these long car-trips. :)

Oh, glad your vacation was good! As for the tree-fort, that is WAY awesome! Seriously, I envy you much. If I ever get the chance, I'm going to get one. I'd love it. Talk about a great place to write. Give it some Elvish name or something ^^

Speaking of writing, *twitches* I have been going on a serious deprivation. Update as soon as you are able, or something bad is going to happen to the Ranger... well, then again, something always bad happens to him *sweet smile* LOL, but seriously, I look way forward to it. I think I've read your last chapter so many times I have parts memorized :P

Yeah, Cami and I have been discussing possible names already. :) (And I told mom--quite casually--that I was inviting all my friends to come see it/sleep over, and she didn't seem to mind. So join the crowd! *g*)

Ugh, I'm so sorry about the long wait for an update... I have a chapter all ready to post, but alerts have been down. (Unless that's just me? You getting anything?) I didn't even notice I'd gotten several reviews for a couple of days. :P I was hoping things might get back up and running quickly but...I should have known nothing could be that easy. I should have made an announcement on here (though I don't think many of my readers read my LJ, besides you...). At any rate, I will update soon, one way or the other, so keep checking, because you won't necessarily get an alert. ;)

It seems as if everyone is catching colds. I think it's the weather, which continues to vary each day. Wonder what God has in mind these days...LOL

A tree house? I envy you..Ever since LOTR, I've begun to view tree houses differently. *grin* Somehow they seem so Elvish to me. :-P

Eck, yeah, colds are really making the rounds at our house. No fun at all... *snifflecoughweeze*

Yes! A tree house (so come along with everyone else to the sleep-over)! I definitely view tree houses differently after LotR. Very elvish. :)

I thought the same, too. My brother doesn't understand why I like tree so much these day. I told him it was an LOTR thing. He rolled his eyes and said, "Whatever." LOL
